A gift book is more than numbers. It shows who was invited, who came and how much each person gave — information that, if exposed, can damage relationships beyond repair. So we hold ourselves to commitments stricter than the law requires, and we try to keep them by how the system is built, not just by promises.
1. Free for users
The core tools are free for families and friend groups: gift books, reciprocal gift book, guests, invitations, albums, tasks, budget, Nhà mình / Hội mình spaces, messages. We don’t sell paid plans to end users.
To be transparent: our planned future revenue comes from service partners, once partner services launch — referral fees, booking commissions, partner plans. Any sponsored content will always be clearly labelled. Revenue never comes from selling your data.
2. Records only — we never touch money
- We never receive, hold, transfer or collect money. There is no wallet and no intermediary account.
- The in-app group fund and collection rounds are records of who contributed what. The real money stays with whoever keeps your group’s fund.
3. We never suggest gift amounts
The app never tells you “how much you should give” and never compares you with others. What you give is a matter of the heart for each family.
4. Guest data belongs to the event owner — never sold, never used for ads
- Guest lists, phone numbers, relationships, family trees, messages, gift money, gifts and contributions are never sold and never used for advertising.
- Guest data stays inside your event.
- No feature lets anyone look up “how much this person gave” at an event they don’t manage.
- People are never merged just because their names match. When someone verifies a phone number, contacts, guests and members that others saved with that exact number are linked to their account automatically (see the Privacy Policy, section 1.6).
5. No ads or upselling on funerals, memorials or remembrance days
For sad occasions and days of remembrance:
- the app simply does its job as a tool;
- there are no ads and no sales offers;
- nothing tries to rush or pressure you.
6. Nothing disappears silently — every change leaves a trace
- Entries in an event’s gift book are never erased. To remove one, you void it with a reason and it stays visible in the book. Every edit is tracked too.
- Every recording, edit and void in gift books and event data leaves an entry in an append-only audit log. Edits and deletions of the log are blocked in the database itself, not just in the app’s code.
- Duplicate entries caused by flaky connections are blocked automatically, so totals are never counted twice.
7. Kept for years, so you can look things up
Years from now, when you attend the wedding of the child of someone who came to yours, you can still look it up. Data is kept for as long as your account and the event exist, until you ask us to delete it.
8. Partner services — only with your consent
When partner services launch:
- Information is sent only when you send a request yourself, and only what that request needs (event type, date, area, size, budget).
- Each request goes to a small number of suitable partners (about 3–5), never broadcast to everyone.
- Partners can message you only in a conversation you opened.
- Partners never see your gift books, guests or family data.
9. No tracking
The apps and this website contain no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking tools. The website uses no cookies.
10. Honest about what isn’t built yet
So you can decide with full information, these things don’t exist yet:
- Deleting your account yourself in the app. For now you send a request and we handle it — see Data & Account Deletion.
- Exporting all your data yourself. Handled on request for now.
- Recording while offline and push notifications.
- Sổ Mừng Cưới on Zalo — coming soon for everyone.
- Phone number sign-in — coming soon.
- The App Store / Google Play apps — coming soon.
If an incident ever affects your data, we will tell you plainly, as the law requires.
